PMP

“The completion of the PMP certification has been a goal of mine since 2018. Life had taken its course and I put it to the side for a while. I had made the decision to take another direction within my career, only later to discover that project management is what I really want to do. I received an e-mail one day that provided the option to sign up for a PMP course. At first, doubt set in and said “there is no reason to do this, you will never be afforded the opportunities of a project manager”. I decided to ignore doubt and enroll in the course. The opportunity to take the course with PM-PROLEARN and having Stacy King as my instructor really boosted my confidence. Without saying it directly, he reminded me that there is a lot that I know about project management even though I have never held the title of a “Project Manager” within the federal government and the opportunities for growth will come at the right time. After I took the course, I thought that I would have to take the test multiple times due to people saying “This is a really hard test and less than 45% of the people testing pass on the first try”. Well, I passed on the first try and it was inspiring for me-between the self-doubt and the career change I figured this would take all three times but I was WRONG! I succeeded in the goal of achieving this certification and now I will pursue the career goal of becoming a Project Manager!”
