“I heard about the PMP Certification only in casual conversation but could not describe why people sought it out or what it was used for. As I neared the start of my transition from the military, I was nudged to investigate it, gain some reasonable understanding, and to determine if I found it interesting. A good friend walked me through it and after gaining enough curiosity to expand on the idea, I connected with Josh Atkinson who was instrumental in helping me initiate the process. During the course I was well instructed by an incredible coach, Stacy King and though I knew there was still much preparation on my part, I felt that PM-ProLearn had provided the right structure to see it through. Knowing what I know now I would have enthusiastically taken on this journey years ago; confident it would have helped me as a leader and member of a team. Simply put, this is not a course that should be waited on until transition, it is a certification that is relevant now. My biggest takeaway is project management is happening all around us, it’s just a matter of how much we want to be a part of it.”
